For aircraft powered by aviation gasoline, it maintains its maximum power output at about 6,000 feet which decreases obviously with the increase of the altitude. However, for AE300 turbocharged diesel engine, it maintains maximum power output at 10000 feet, leading more advantages of DA42-VI in high-altitude areas.

Compared with previous DA42 series, DA42-VI has made remarkable improvements in flight performance and take-off weight.

Twin-engine DA42-VI is easier to operate than many complex single-engine aircraft since one engine is controlled by one separate power lever. Pilot need not worry about controlling throttle value or advancing the prop to high rpm before landing as it is controlled by computer systems, leaving you more time to enjoy the flight.

A proven TKS de-icing system helps DA42-VI continue flying in icy conditions. The ice protection system prevents accumulation of ice by distributing a thin film of a special de-icing fluid on the wings, horizontal stabilizer, vertical stabilizer, propellers and canopy. The redundant system design and rigorous flight tests have demonstrated and proved DA42-VI is able to fly a long time in icy condition to help you get back safely.
